Overview
As part of the aging process, our face tends to lose collagen, elastin as well as volume due to loss of facial fat and bone resorption. This in turn leads to fine lines, wrinkles, formation of hollow area on our face, commonly over our temples, under eye region and cheek area. Feature and Mechanism
Step 1 – Facial assessment & mapping
Our professional aesthetic doctors will evaluate your facial appearance and determine the areas of your face that require collagen biostimulator injection. Strategic points on your face must be marked as the appropriate injection sites. Photographs may be taken of the areas to be treated.
Step 2 – Cleansing & anesthetizing
The injection sites will be cleansed, and numb cream applied over the areas of injection to maximize patient comfort. While not painless, the injections are usually well tolerated.
Step 3 – The injection
Injection usually takes only a few moments per site. Once Collagen Biostimulators are injected, it stimulates Fibroblast cells found in our skin to start producing collagen at the injected site, with the effects gradually showing over the course of 6 to 12 months, restoring volume and reducing appearance of wrinkles and fine lines together with improvement of skin quality.
Step 4 – Clean up & recovery
Once the results are deemed satisfactory, any markings will be cleansed off. You may be offered an ice pack to reduce swelling and alleviate discomfort. The injected area may feel a bit tender or sore for 1 to 2 days but it is usually not painful enough to require any medication.

Pre-treatment Precautions
You are advised to discontinue any topical skin brightening products, products containing retinol, retinoid or hydroquinone at least 1 week prior to injection. You should also ensure adequate sun protection 1 week prior to injection.
Expectation from Treatment
Areas injected will show an increase in volume due to stimulation of collagen production which will increase gradually over 6 to 12 months post injection. You will notice improvement in fine lines, wrinkles and skin quality after 1 month post injection. There will be some degree of swelling and redness over the treated areas, but these usually go away after 24 to 48 hours.
