Overview

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), also known as a vampire facial, is an advanced skincare treatment method that harnesses your body’s own natural power to heal itself. PRP is obtained from our blood which is then centrifuged to produce the components that make up PRP. When injected onto our face, it helps with the repair and regeneration of damaged skin cells. As healing and regeneration is the main function of PRP, our professional aesthetic doctor combines PRP with our own selection of skin boosters which can help tackle issues of hydration, dull skin tone and further enhance repair and regenerative effects of PRP, thus creating Premium PRP.

Feature and Mechanism

Plasma, or the liquid portion of blood

A type of blood cell that plays an important role in healing throughout the body.

Platelets

Platelets are well-known for their clotting abilities, but they also contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration or healing in the treated area.

Pre-treatment Precautions

You are advised to discontinue any topical skin brightening products, products containing retinol, retinoid or hydroquinone at least 1 week prior to injection. You should also ensure adequate sun protection 1 week prior to injection.

Expectation from Treatment

Patients can expect improvement of acne scars, pores, skin hydration, skin tone, skin texture and skin quality after each session with the most optimum result seen after completing a recommended treatment course 3 sessions of Premium PRP injection done at monthly intervals.

We recommend getting PRP injections for at least three months for the best treatment results. Most people see results after three treatments. But, of course, this may vary depending on how well your skin responds to the platelet-rich plasma injections.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is PRP safe?
PRP is proved generally safe thanks to extensive research. However, a little swelling can occur right after the injections.
Does it have any side effects?
No important side effects were shown in research besides temporary swelling, small bumps, and a little discomfort that usually disappears after the first two hours of the injection.
How long does it last?
The length of the results may differ from person to person since it depends on the aging signs as well as their particularities. However, experts recommend repeating PRP after six months to maintain the initial results.
What can I expect after treatment?
You can experience more hydrated, firmer and glowing skin for up to 6 months if you take good care of your general health and use a good SPF.
When can I see results?
While the effects can show up as early as one week after the treatment, full results of the firming, tightening and lifting action can be observed after one month. Two sessions are generally suggested, spaced one month apart; an additional third treatment may be needed two months later, depending on your particular skin laxity. We also recommend a repeat of the procedure every six months for maintenance.
Any post-treatment care?
Yes, you need to be very careful with the aftercare. You have to avoid facial massages or any treatment as well as any intense activity in the skin immediately after the injections. You also need to stay away from alcohol and supplementation that can worsen face bruising such as ginkgo.
