Overview

The traditional method for strengthening and toning our muscles used to be spending hours in the gym through weight resistance exercise. Now with the existence of Electromagnetic Stimulation (EMS), muscles in our body can be stimulated to contract and relax without any conscious effort to do so, allowing us to achieve the same purpose of fat burning together with toning and strengthening muscles without needing break a sweat.

Feature and Mechanism

Using the technology of electromagnetic stimulation (EMS), we can stimulate the muscle fibres for contraction and relaxation, allowing us to produce a much higher repetition of muscle contraction and relaxation compared to conventional weight resistant training. Furthermore, the muscles fibers stimulated through EMS are large-diameter fast-twitch type 2 muscle fibers which produce the strongest and quickest contractions as compared to slow-twitch type 1 muscle fibers which produce slower and weaker contractions with lower repetitions.

Over time, muscle fibers that are injured through repetitive contraction and relaxation will lead to the formation of stronger and bigger muscle fibers, leading to stronger and bigger muscles as well as fat reduction.

Pre-treatment Precautions

There are no specific pretreatment preparations, but patients are encouraged to eat well and sleep well before treatment. Please inform our doctors if you have any medical condition or allergies.

Expectation from Treatment

You will see some results immediately after treatment. Optimum results of 15 to 20 percent muscle growth and fat reduction are usually reported 2 to 4 weeks after the last session and continue to improve for several weeks following that. The recommended treatment course is a minimum of 4 sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart, after which patients are advised to maintain the results through conventional exercise and weightlifting or further sessions of EMS.
